Happy New Years Fat Day

Why oh why oh why do I always do this?? I start 2009 at the heaviest I have EVER been in my whole blinking life. 'Snot fair. However, popping a positive spin on it things can only get better. Yep, positive thinking, low-carb diet, up the exercise (well start again) and enjoy losing weight and inches. Is it possible? Yes it is. This is just a blip - or perhaps that should read I am just a blimp. No excuses - for Christmas I got a cycle helmet and lights (for my bike rather than the helmet) and a Nike+ thingy for my trainer and Ipod which links me to some competitive running site so if that doesn't spur me on I think I should give up before I start. However, my new (not sure I had an old one to be honest) mantra should be winners never quit and quitters never win.

New Years Resolutions are:

Get Fit
Lose Weight
Be Happy
(not putting any pressure on myself with those three then)
Have a streamlined life (guess that means declutter a-go-go)
More holidays
Be a nicer person (that one slips in each year and slips out again before 1 Jan is over)
Entertain more and see more of friends (see 4th one for how that can be achieved)
Continue to not read Heat and I guess I should also give up the Mail Online although it has some of the funniest journalism(?!) I've ever read
Find new clients to add interest and excitement into my working life

Perhaps I should have these as goals rather than resolutions.

Off out for a bike ride shortly. So should I have some lunch to sustain me or do the weigh/measure spreadsheet which will be thoroughly depressing or declutter or go and see if there is anything worth watching on catch up TV????
